We need friendly outgoing detail oriented people who can juggle a variety of tasks such as answering questions and selling trips via the telephone, taking payments, booking trips to the computer system, batching sales, balancing the cash register and credit card machine, greeting guests upon check-in, running reports, returning phone calls, answering e-mails, doing retail sales, scheduling trips, keeping track of all major paperwork along with opening and closing each day and other duties required as team support. This is a very fast paced position and requires someone who is a fast learner, dependable, is good with people, has a good attitude, is well rounded, is a team player, is very intelligent, and has excellent communication skills. This position requires a high level of maturity and is very challenging. If you are looking for a lively summer position where you are at the center of a very vibrant business, please apply. If you are adventurous and looking for a fun, exciting, substantial, honorable, and responsible job leading folks down a wild River in the Colorado Mountains, then you should contact us about our guide training class. Since guiding is seasonal and guides eventually move on to full time jobs, there are some guiding jobs available each summer. We offer a guide training class starting in mid May each year for people who want to become a certified guide in Colorado. If you’re a hard worker, honest, a self starter, dependable, responsible, have a good attitude, are a team player, love the outdoors, can work through adversity, can work the entire summer, and want to learn a skill with lifelong rewards, then contact us about our guide training class. The class is extensive, requires at lot of commitment, and there is a fee associated with the class. Once the training is completed participants are eligible to work for any outfitter in the State. We hire directly from the class since we focus on the Poudre while using our equipment and teaching our philosophy. Colorado guides must be at least 18 years of age and have current CPR and First Aid certification before guiding commercially. Please contact us for further details if interested in Guiding. If you are looking for a summer job, have a Class B CDL with P2 endorsement, and want to spend your summer enjoying a beautiful canyon while transporting happy rafters to and from the Canyon, please contact us. Drivers perform pre and post trip inspections, drive guests to the canyon, follow the trips down the canyon and then pick up the guests, guides, and rafts and transport them back to the shop. Drivers assist the guides and also provide shore support at difficult rapids. This position works very well for school bus drivers who are looking for summer work. If you have ample photography experience, enjoy the outdoors, are active and fit and can traverse sometimes steep trails down to the River to access photography spots while protecting the camera and yourself from peril, have a good eye for framing a picture and a good sense of timing along with knowledge of angles, lighting, and digital cameras, we may have a position for you. Photographers usually drive a van and follow the bus while stopping to shoot pictures as the rafting trip makes its way down the canyon. Sometimes photographers drive a van with a trailer so people who can do both are the best fit for the position. Photographers need to be flexible and there are other varied duties required to help out as needed such as picking up lunches from the deli for our all day trips, fueling vehicles, cleaning up vehicles, downloading, filing, and burning photos.
